Since january 1st of this year, people over 65 years old had a fall in Europe, sometimes with serious consequences.
Many scales have been proposed to assess balance and gait among seniors. These tests rarely prove valuable to predict the fall risk, as it must be envisaged with a multifactorial approach and is difficult to grasp with the mere assessment of a subject's postural and balance capabilities.
However, these tests are valuable tools in order to observe - with great semiological precision - gait and balance defects among seniors so as to offer quality medical care.
