Since january 1st of this year, people over 65 years old had a fall in Europe, sometimes with serious consequences.
Falls among elderly individuals are often caused by the combination of many intrinsic or environmental risk factors (c.f. 'Falls: the facts').In order to assess the fall risk, we must screen for the various elements that can be regarded as risk factors. Various approaches can be envisaged to assess an elderly person's risk of falling.
