is a full Professor at University of Lyon. He is senior scientist in the team Biomedical Micro Sensors at Institute for Nanotechnologies in Lyon, and associate researcher at TIMC-IMAG laboratory in Grenoble. His teachings are Electronics and Biomedical Sensors.
He is a recognized expert in Smart Sensors with various skills in Applied Physics, Electronics, Data and Signal Processing. His main contributions are in the field of embedded smart sensors for the monitoring of health. His original results concern Health Smart Homes, which he initiated at TIMC-IMAG lab in Grenoble at the end of the 90s and validated through several field trials. He also is the inventor of a smart fall sensor with 3 patents transferred to industrial partners.
